When is Prom Season in the US?

However, there is no definitive answer as to when prom season actually begins and ends, as it can vary depending on each individual school or district.

Late February through June depending on your school and whether or not you get bound yearbooks (places who include prom pics in their bound yearbooks tend to have earlier proms). I attended another school’s prom but I didn’t go to my own. I went to a girls’ school so prom was much more optional than at coed schools. I forgot about my junior prom since I was working on a play in Center City and for senior prom the committee somehow though it was a good idea to give a choice of prime rib or sirloin (beef or beef? I didn’t want either). Also, the class before mine had a member who fraudulently charged her party to the school so we were banned from the lovely Center City hotels and had to make do with the ‘burbs.

Toward the end of the school year which is now. Around May. Sometimes in April depending on the school schedule.

Prom season. . . my favorite time of the year.
The time where I’m reminded that I have no romantic interests, in practically every way.
But to answer your question it’s around March, April, and May around where I live.

Unfortunately with the current crisis, there won’t be a Prom season that usually starts in April- June especially if schools old are cancelled for the remainder of the school year

So, I’m in high school and prom season is from March to May. This year, my school’s prom was at the end of March. They had to postpone to May though. It honestly depends on the school. I have friends from other schools and other states that their prom is in mid-May. I think my school has it earlier than that because we finish school in May and there are other activities those weekends. If you are curious about a certain school, just look up the school’s calendar. Most schools have a public calendar to it’s easy to look up!r
